Ram Laddu
Ram Laddu is a famous street food of Delhi. These laddus are salty and served with grated radish and green chutney. In Delhi, you will find these laddus being sold anywhere easily. There is a famous Ram Laddu shop in Lajpat Nagar Market. If you go there, do not forget to eat this famous Ram Laddu. You can easily make it at home also.
Ingredients:
Moong dal ................ 1 cup
Chana dal ............... 1/2 cup
Ginger ................. 1 inch piece
Green chili ............... 1-2 (optional)
Salt ................. As per taste
Turmeric ................. 1/4 tea spoon
Oil for frying
Method:
1. Wash and soak the chana and moong dal for 2-3 hours.
2. Grind the pulses with ginger and green chilies. If needed add very little water. Do not grind the pulses too finely.
3. Take out the ground lentils in a vessel and beat them well for 10-15 minutes.
4. While whipping, keep in mind that the batter has to be rotated in the same direction,either clockwise or anti-clockwise, rotating batter in the opposite direction can release the air that We have to incorporate.
5. After whisking, add salt and turmeric and beat for some more time.
6 Heat oil in a pan and keep flame medium.
7. And after this, wet the hands a little and lift a little bit of the batter with the fingers and put it in hot oil and fry till it turns golden brown .
8. Serve with grated radish and green chutney.
